Microsoft Offers Cheaper Xbox Without A Bundled Kinect

Xbox:

First, beginning on June 9th, in all markets where Xbox One is sold, we will offer Xbox One starting at $399*. This is a new console option that does not include Kinect. For $399, our new Xbox One offering will continue to deliver access to the best blockbuster games like “Titanfall,” “Call of Duty: Ghosts,” “Forza Motorsport 5,” “Dead Rising 3,” and the upcoming “Watch Dogs,” “Destiny” and “Sunset Overdrive.”

Xbox 360 had no good Kinect games, but it was sort of permissible given Kinect was an optional extra. But, Xbox One has had the same problem, even with the accessory bundled with every console.

To this day, the only console that integrated motion controls into its game library well was the Wii. Microsoft should have probably realised that the Kinect wasn’t getting traction with Xbox One developers and released the $399 console in the holiday season. The $100 discrepancy was a big advantage for the PS4 at Christmas.
