The Original Windows Logo
The two-dimensional Metro-style Windows flag that was introduced in February (and will feature on both Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8) is closest in appearance to Microsoft’s original Windows logo. Both eschew gradients and other colors for a flat and neutral blue appearance.
The original 1985 Windows logo is sleek and clean, and really fitting for the Metro feel of Windows 8 … I think even more so than the actual Windows 8 logo.
