1.3 Million Android Phones Activated Daily
… Google’s Eric Schmidt revealed that the company is now activating 1.3 million new Android devices a day. This is a significant increase from the 850,000 that Andy Rubin reported back in February. Of note, however, Schmidt said that the company was “late to tablets,” and that of those 1.3 million devices, only 70,000 of those are tablets.
An impressive activation rates for phones. For tablets, not so much. However, at least they admit they are behind unlike some other companies.
