Stephen Hackett On The Future Of The Mac Mini
Looking at the tear downs (and having taken apart a ton of these things over the years), it’s easy to understand what drove the shape and layout of the early Mac minis: the optical drive.
Hackett makes a good point that the Mac mini is no longer constrained physically to a CD-case shape. He goes on to speculate what a future version of the Mini could look like.
